    摘要: 本文探討圖書館學與資訊科學教育在國內外發展之歷程，台灣地區圖書館學與資訊科學教育大學部學程現況。建議現階段台灣地區圖書館學與資訊科學教育在博士班、碩士班、大學部學程並存的情況下，教學與課程在內容、程度、方法方面應有所差異而具淺深之漸進性。此外，值此國內大學法新頒、各校大學組織規程新訂、各系所皆在修改課程內容之時，本文作者殷切建議在圖書館學與資訊科學教育大學部學程中增加專門學科之課程規劃與設計，以期提高大學部學程畢業生的學科素養。
    This paper discusses briefly the history of the library and information science education, especially the undergraduate program of the library and information science education in Taiwan, Republic of China.This paper concludes with two suggestions: (1) To differentiate the Ph. D., Master, and Bachelor programs in their educational goals and curricula (2) To strengthen the subject specialization requirement of undergraduate program that the subject specialty of its graduates will be elevated.
