In the period of Ming and Ching, appear quantity rhythm books and rhythm charts, those books and charts are important information to study of recent times Chinese Language. Although those writings have difference characteristics, but most important, "compound` are evidently characteristics in those writings. This project based three rhythm books--JIAU TAI YUEN、CHING JIAU TZA JU、TZENG BLT TI BI WU FANG YUAN YIN. According to those three rhythm books, we can observe a chang about abrupt tone of HE NAN FANG YIN (河南方音)in 16th and 17th century. Through this project, also we can find the changing track of abrupt tone since Ming dynasty till now. In my opinions, there have two phenomenon worthy to pay attention: First, althought the JU SHENG YUN (入聲韻)exist singlely, but reduction become into Glottal Stop. The second, in the period of Ming and Ching, the abrupt tone between HE NAN FANG YIN were distinguished upper abrupt tone and lower abrupt tone, voiceless sound(清聲母) and half voice(次濁聲母)were readed YIN JU(陰入). Voiced sound(全濁聲母) were readed YANG JU(陽入), but now, it development into half voice were read upper even tone. This kind of special evolutionary type and condition just the essential distinguish of CHUNG YANG Mandarin(中原官話) 、Northern Mandarin(北方官話) and CHIAO LIAO Mandarin(膠遼官話). Hence this project can make us realize the change of abrupt tone change in HE NAN FANG YIN from Ming till now. Further more, it can provide the important sound clue of Mandarin.
