In particular, Taiwan is an open island. Dogs have close relationship with humans in history, in addition to their own historical evolution process, dogs also affect and change with people's activities. When exactly did the concept of pedigree dogs come into being in Taiwan? How does it happen? Who sets the certification standards? Before and after the establishment of the concept of Taiwan dogs, what changes the role of dogs played in Taiwan society? How do dogs living with peoples in Taiwan? This article intends to use the concept of pedigree /purebred as the core of observation tool. From the perspective of cultural history, we will see how Taiwan dogs are recorded, recognized, investigated, and changed by people, so as to explore the relationship between Taiwan dogs and the peoples here.
