    Abstract: 本計畫旨在研究在日台人親中華民國派民族社會學家吳主惠（1907-1994）的人生經歷、思想，以及其和所處時空的互動關係。他在三○年代乃至二次大戰結束期間以殖民地台灣新式教育學子身分赴日求學、就職；戰後仍在日本大學機構活躍至八○年代。吳主惠寫下許多有關中國人民族性等文化論述，在立場上符合國民黨政權意識型態的他，也在日、華／台文化交流中扮演一定角色。本計畫的研究成果預期將對「戰前台人留日經驗」、「戰後在日台人社群」、「在日台人民族思想」三個領域有所貢獻，盼藉由對台灣知識菁英在不同時代之思想流變與政治抉擇的深入了解，拓展台灣史研究的視野，致使國人對於戰後台灣在中華民國統治下的發展歷程有多面性。
