Resource scarcity is a common issue for digital startups. A digital startup`s inability to obtain and employ resources effectively could lead to failure or even go out of business. In actuality, they are in a wealthy setting with countless resources that are free or inexpensive. Hence, this paper aims to study how digital startups make the most of the available resources based on the bricolage concept. To achieve this objective, we used a two-case study analysis to comprehend the resource utilization of digital startups. Our research listed examples of available resources for digital startups, including financial resources, technical resources, managerial resources, and human resources. Furthermore, our study suggests the approach of resource utilization between resource-seeking and bricolage that digital startups take in order to acquire different types of resources when facing challenges at different stages of their lifecycles.
