Abstract: | 書院是近年來台灣高等教育的新風潮,但是目前的評估研究對其仍所知有限,因此本文以政大書院為研究個案,結合國際上與書院相似概念之評估研究,測量參與書院是否會影響學生學習社群的接觸以及書院和學習社群對於學習成果之影響,並觀察教育實踐和學習社群指標是否影響學生對於參與書院的學習成果。 研究結果發現參與書院的學生確實在學習社群氛圍以及教育實踐兩個變項上比起未參與書院的學生表現較佳,並且會透過此二面向影響到學生最終的博雅核心能力成果。本研究數據顯示,學生參與書院的投入程度越高,感受到教學實踐和學習社群氛圍程度越高、學生感受到的教學實踐和學習社群氛圍越高,博雅學習成果越良好、學習社群和教育實踐本身的高低程度並不影響學生參與投入所產生的學習效果。 Recently, “Liberal Arts College” in the western higher education system has become a buzzword in Taiwan. However, the relevant research remains limited knowledge concerning its evaluation. Therefore, the thesis takes the liberal arts colleges at National Chengchi University as the case and measure whether and how the participating colleges affect students. The empirical data indicate that the students participating in the liberal arts colleges performed better than those who did not. Particularly, their sense of learning community and good educational practice mediate the effects of the student’s engagement on liberal arts core competence acquired, measured by their cognitive growth and learning outcome. The results also shows that higher students engagement lead to higher sense of learning community and good educational practices perceive by students. In addition, the students perform better due to the liberal arts learning outcome. |
