This paper attempts to apply cultural linguistics theory to approach the different styles between Chinese and Japanese , and explore the conditions of Chinese encoding styles and Japanese encoding styles in language communication ,specially pays attention to the relationship between culture and language. On the basis of previous studies and daily life cases from Japanese and Chinese, this paper proposes that we can consider Japanese as a Shuangyuan pattern and Chinese as a Taoyuan pattern, which operates their native speakers on selecting language expressions individually.
