Abstract: RDA (Resource Description and Access)是AACR修訂聯合督導委員會 (Joint Steering Committee for Revision of AACR,簡稱JSC)即將取代AACR2R,專為數位世界設計,預定2008年出版的新內容標準。
In Taiwan, for decades librarians have adopted AACR for cataloging western resources and CCR for cataloging Chinese materials. Since AACR has a deep impact on CCR, catalogers in Taiwan have great concerns about the development of AACR revision. RDA (Resource Description and Access) is a new content standard that will replace AACR2. Developed by the Joint Steering Committee for the Revision of AACR (JSC), RDA is designed for the digital world, whose publication in 2008 is in prospect. At the present time, part one of the RDA draft is available online for the purpose of soliciting for public opinions. Through reviewing the background, the revising mechanism, the context, and other new features of the RDA draft, this paper seeks to explore possible future strategies for developing CCR.
