    摘要: 由於資訊與通訊科技的進步，各國均致力於資訊化的推動，在都市的發展與建設上，著重知識與資訊的傳播，透過網路的架設進行商業、市場與其他資訊的競爭的資訊都市政策更形重要。本研究參考國外不同都市之資訊化發展歷程，探討國內都市發展資訊化都市的相關要件，透過專家訪談意見整理，試圖建立資訊都市之衡量指標，期藉此指標之建立，衡量國內各縣市資訊化之程度，俾作各縣市評估其電子化績效及資訊規劃與建設決策之參考。
    Information and communication technologies (ICTs) have become a basis of economic development and any nation that fail to make efforts on such developments should take increasing risks on its modernization. In order to address this problem, all authorities worldwide have increasingly incorporated ICT policies and initiatives into their economic development strategies. In the arena of urban planning, most local authorities, have emphasized on the shape of an information city that aims to create a computerized and networked city. This study overviewed the opportune movement of various cities in the USA and UK. To explore their cities as well as various information related policies. To do this, an empirical study that utilizes twelve depth interviews to assess key criteria for evaluating information cities has been carried out. This study thus develops a system of index for information cities and evaluates six major cities of Taiwan accordingly. Their implications for developing an information city are also discussed.
