    Abstract: 本研究計畫是台灣教育長期追蹤資料庫(TEPS)的後續追蹤調查,簡稱為TEPS-B(Taiwan Education Panel Survey and Beyond)。
The proposed project intends to conduct follow-up surveys of respondents participating in Taiwan Educational Panel Survey (TEPS) and will be called TEPS and Beyond (TEPS-B). The goal of TEPS-B is to investigate the linkage between education and labor market outcomes. Among other short- and long-term research concerns, TEPS-B will focus on issues on how the quality of higher education institutions and major fields affect occupational attainment and how gender affects the choice of majors and the performance in the labor market during the period of rapid expansion of higher education in Taiwan. In order to accomplish the research goals of TEPS-B, the proposed project firstly plans to conduct two telephone surveys between August and November in 2009. The purpose of these two telephone surveys is to track down two cohorts of second-year high (or vocational and technical) school students who were surveyed respectively in the first wave of TEPS in 2001 (will be called TEPS-B Panel 1) or the third wave of TEPS in 2005 (will be called TEPS-B Panel 2). In addition, the proposed project plans to conduct a face-to-face follow-up survey between November and December in 2010. This follow-up survey intends to interview around 4,200 cases drawn from TEPS-B Panel 1. Finally, the project will conduct the first follow-up telephone survey of TEPS-B Panel 2 from May to July in 2011.
