    摘要: 本文從一個觀念傳播史的角度出發，分析1951-2004年的媒體報導，探討科學領域的「基因」觀念何時進入本地社會，並如何與在地社會文化脈絡結合產生觀念的轉變。本研究發現，基因概念從1970年代開始出現在媒體論述，歷經三十多年的觀念傳播歷程，成功融合本地社會既有論述、媒體特性、以及人們對新科技的需求與想像，將基因觀念擴展到社會、經濟、娛樂等日常生活各個領域，創造一個本地社會獨有的基因大眾文化想像。
    To investigate how the idea of gene transgresses from the domain of science into local society, and how the idea of gene evolves in the context of local culture, this article explores media discourse of local news reports from 1951 to 2004. It was found that the idea of gene first appeared in local media discourse in the 1970s. In the past 30 years, the idea of gene has expanded into many aspects of daily life by interacting with local social culture, media, and people`s desire for new technologies. A unique local cultural imagination of gene has thus been created.
