    Title: 台灣新聞人員：1994與2004年的比較研究

    Abstract: 臺灣社會正處於政治經濟變遷的轉型過程中，新聞媒介也面臨市場壓力與角色
    調整的雙重考驗。在整個1990 年代之中，臺灣媒介告別威權統治，但卻投入市場的
    惡性競爭。
    在解除戒嚴後，媒介從政府箝制中獲得解放，市場從寡佔局面轉變成競爭激烈
    的殺戮戰場。媒介數目激增，但能在市場立足者寥寥無幾。有線電視在一九九三年
    合法化，電視頻道迅速增加至七十個以上，但產權逐漸為財團吞併。臺灣的政經結
    構及媒介市場均已產生急遽變化，新聞人員的認知、態度與行為角色也產生明顯的
    改變。本研究主要比較在1994 年與2004 年台灣新聞人員的社會、經濟背景與專業
    特質的變化。我們希望探討在這十年間新聞人員社會、教育，經濟背景的差異，並
    比較他們的專業價值、媒介角色以及對工作的滿意度。
