Abstract
The main purpose of this study was to establish mentor principals’ experience inheritance information website (http://mentorprincipal.org), and this study was based on the five dimensions: “Understanding”, “Designate”, “Motivation”, “Reconcile”, and “Career”. We construct a systematical knowledge about principal professional development, and fully spread mentor principals’ experience and knowledge in digital way.
First, we interviewed mentor principals, and then analyzed the content of interview. Secondly, we invited 28 mentor principals in Northern Taiwan, Central Taiwan, Southern Taiwan, and Eastern Taiwan, and tried to collect material by focus group interview. We organized the interview content, information, and videos to establish mentor principals’ experience inheritance information website.
According to the results of the study, we proposed that:1.To establish the system, and carry out the inheritance of principals’ experience. 2.To integrate the networks, and form complete operating system. 3.Plan the selection mechanism, and improve the quality of mentor principals teaching. 4.To collect multiple information, and understand schools in depth. 5.To give consideration to tradition and revolution, and understand the needs of teaching and administrative staff. 6.To join professional communities, and establish social networks. 7.To carry out achievement assessment, and continue the programs.
