    摘要: 本研究擇定民國87年台北縣縣議員與鄉鎮市長選舉為個案,以台北縣城鄉差距及地方派系影響力為資料分析對象,衡量台北縣城鄉差距與地方派系影響力的關係。我們認為:台灣地區都市化程度越高,派系影響力越高,所以城鄉差距與地方派系的影響力間存在因果關係。而在方法上,個案研究提供了較為深入而完整的資料,特別是本研究將預選變數的分析單位下降到村里,得以驗証與修正總體研究的理論與方法。展望未來,本項研究的模式,將對台灣省其它各縣市內部地方派系的個案研究,以及派系理論的建立工作,具有極高的延續性及累積性價值。
    This research is focused on the relationship between the disparities of urban-suburb development and political factions in Taipei County. We hypothesize that the more urbanization of a town or a village, the more political influence of a local faction in it. We use almost all the possible indicators to measure the urbanization, which is the independent variable of this research. And, we calculate the vote rate of every local political faction in 1998 Taipei County Councilman election and Town Mayor election, as the indices of their political influence, which is the dependent variable of this work. The finding of this research will be useful to systematize the modeling of Taiwan local faction analysis.
