    摘要: 檢視文化角色、跨文化溝通現象、和語言在思考與文化的價值。並討論透過文化認知在以英語為外語課中教學運用。以問卷及晤談分析學生對此教學法的反應。文化認知可視為語言教學的輔助並提供處理跨文化溝通問題的管道,亦提出教師文化背景欠缺的因應之道。
    Roles of culture, phenomena in cross-cultural communication, and language in thought and culture are reviewed. Pedagogical applications through stimulation of cultural awareness in the EFL classroom are presented. Students` responses to the pedagogy based on the questionnaire and interviews are analyzed and interpreted. Cultural awareness can be seen as an aid to language learning and provides a channel to manage cross-cultural communication. Suggestions to improve the situation of insufficient cultural background for teachers are also given.
