Quantum spin liquids and quantum glass are non-magnetic states in magnetism at low temperatures. This project will develop and implement large-scale numerical techniques to explore the phenomena of destruction of magnetic order at zero temperature and investigate a variety of microscopic models for quantum magnets, which can potentially form liquid-like states or exhibit glassiness at low temperatures. We will also study Kibble-Zurek mechanism at Kosterlitz-Thouless transitions and infinite-randomness quantum critical points in some frustrated quantum magnets.
