Abstract:	2020年7月國際疼痛研究協會將疼痛明確的定義為個人經驗生理、心理、及社會刺激覺知為疼痛的心理歷程。本研究呼應前述定義修正，聚焦於目前國際疼痛研究關注之「社會疼痛」。此類研究反應出若生物醫學上的治療效果有限，是否與個人如何因應其內(生理)與外(社會)刺激有關？國內光是止痛藥相關支出每年至少高達數十億。本研究若順利完成，將為台灣首見探討慢性疼痛病人「寂寞」與「疼痛」並涵蓋其他心理社會面向之臨床研究；亦會是世界少數針對「寂寞」與「疼痛」之研究中，以臨床病人為對象並同時考慮三大類疼痛診斷之追蹤研究。本研究結果應有助於對「社會性疼痛」的了解，並可能作為臨床上評估、協助患者因應其慢性疼痛的新切入方向。
