The importance of sport participation is known by everyone. But to have the correct knowledge of sports and the development of sports literacy depends on the promotion of sports education. In addition to sports education in school, the promotion of social sports is also very important. However, whether it is school sports or social sports, they are all influenced by a nation, country, and social atmosphere. In other words, culture has a huge impact on the promotion of sports education in a region or a country. Under the influence of Confucianism and Islamic culture in Eastern countries, the sport participation is not as popular as in the West. This article uses Turkey as a case. Because Turkey is close to Taiwan in cultural distance. Turkey is not only influenced by Eastern culture, leading to strong collectivism, but also has great impacts of Islamic culture at the same time. As the most westernized Muslim country, Turkey established itself as an independent country shortly after the First World War, actively Westernized, even the education system imitated the Western system. However, the results of development of its sports education are similar to other Eastern countries. With such a special and diverse cultural ideology, we can get a glimpse of the cultural differences in the development of sports education in Muslim countries, and at the same time, we can further compare the influence of Eastern and Western culture on the promotion of sports education. Through this article, we hope that follow-up research can continue to explore the development of sports education from a cultural point of view. We also expect that the analysis of this article can be used as a follow-up promotion of sports education in Taiwan, taking into account the needs of new residents and Muslims for sports education. So as to achieve government's new vision to make Taiwan become a friendly Muslim environment.
