    Title: 媒體疫題:新聞如何呈現疫情下的萬華地區
    The Media Representation of Wanhua's Image During COVID-19

    Abstract:   2019年全球爆發新冠肺炎(COVID-19)本文旨在探討台灣新聞機構如何論述新冠疫情議題,尤其是三級警戒期間與萬華地區相關的報導,觀察新聞中論述語言的特性,試圖討論新聞所隱含的權力關係或意識形態。

      本研究以《中國時報》、《自由時報》為研究文本,蒐集2021年05月12日至2021年07月28日與萬華相關的純淨新聞,起始點乃萬華茶藝館首度兩名員工染疫通報日,此時新聞媒體開始大幅版面報導萬華社區的疫情發展及事件脈絡,而迄日至2021 年 07 月 28 日則是行政院宣布將為期 69 天的三級警戒降至二級,也象徵台灣本土群聚案的落幕。使用語料庫分析法結合批判論述分析,探究兩家新聞媒體的論述策略,並將新聞文本分析區分為三項主題:恐怖效應發酵、固有烙印增強、媒體自我修復。

      研究發現,兩報在三級警戒初期皆是將萬華塑造為疫情「重災區」,強調疫情的恐怖性、擴散快速以及防疫難度等現狀,加深性工作者與萬華地區的負面刻板印象。疫情趨緩後,兩報則從性工作者的角度,重新解構其所代表的身份模樣,惟《中國時報》因地處萬華,有更在地化且深入的報導。
