    Abstract: 本研究以服飾與紡織業大環境與政策和下游品牌對永續環保越來越重視為契機,思考如何將現有的產業做得更環保,在美國重新回到巴黎協定之後,碳中和、零排放是企業的重要策略,多加推廣節能省碳的產品如回收聚酯、回收尼龍、原抽色紗,而企業可以增加綠電的規劃。機會在於品牌的重視,在符合國際潮流的情況下可以鞏固現有的競爭地位,但大陸傾銷的情況與歐美市場目前仍依賴大陸生產基地的事實也是不容置疑,近期的大陸能耗雙控並且開始淘汰高耗能低經濟貢獻度的廠商,而是否能爭取進到東南亞國協以及CPTPP也是一重點,經營者可以將這次的永續議題當成對公司內部與外部重新檢視的一次機會,公司外部是否能夠支持打永續議題的長期戰,公司內部是否有足夠的動力來驅動投入資源進去,都是好好盤點與思考的。
    This study explores overall business strategy and climate within the textile and apparel industry, along with the opportunities presented by downstream brand customers’ increased demand for environmental sustainability, as a framework to understand how the industry can become more environmentally friendly. Once the United States rejoined the Paris Agreement, carbon neutrality and net-zero emissions became key industry strategies. There was also greater promotion of energy-saving low carbon products like recycled polyester, recycled nylon, and dope-dyed yarn; and the possibility that businesses might expand their green energy plans.
    Brand customers emphasis on environmental sustainability is a chance to consolidate our competitive position in line with industry trends. Price dumping in Mainland China is certainly a concern much like the reality that the United States relies on the Mainland as one of the important manufacturing centers. The implementation of a “dual control”energy policy and the elimination of “high consuming, low contributing” manufacturers are notable recent developments. Many also wonder if Mainland China will secure a place as a member of ASEAN or the CPTPP.
    Environmental sustainability could help entrepreneurs’ revaluate internal and external operations to determine if there are sufficient resources to support long-term sustainability goals in textile industry. Our customers must commit to creating a greener product instead of making only cost oriented decisions before we are able to decide whether to keep running our business with a low carbon sustainability model.
