    Title: 數位轉型之研究-以台北富邦銀行支付金融處為例

    Abstract: 台灣金融監督管理委員會於2019年7月30日宣布發放3張純網銀執照,分別為將來商業銀行、LINE Bank與樂天國際商業銀行,希望能夠發揮「鯰魚效應」帶動傳統銀行的數位轉型之路。本研究主題聚焦在銀行的業務,並透過實際深度訪談了解其數位轉型的過程。金融產業在台灣為高度監管的行業,在過去幾十年來較不擔心外部競爭,近年來面臨金融科技的興起與純網銀的開業,對於台灣金融業者而言,都將面臨內部系統老舊,外部產業競爭加劇之挑戰。

    本研究採用個案研究法,首先依照研究問題設計訪談架構,緊接著篩選適當的銀行,與支付金融處的代表進行深度訪談,並預先針對公司在網路的資訊與新聞做探討分析,了解其當前的業務與合作的對象,希望藉由業者的實際訪談能更清楚了解銀行支付金融處在數位轉型下的措施與改變,得到較完整的資料以作為個案撰寫之參考。

    透過本研究可以發現三個結論,第一、數位轉型必須釐清策略方向,並透過截長補短來實現預設目標。第二、銀行支付金融處在發展「自有品牌」或是「代工錢包」的策略時,必須分析其自身的資源與優劣勢,以思考自身的定位與未來的發展方向,以免未來變成公司的沉沒成本。第三、傳統銀行與行動支付業者共同合作創造雙贏,透過與Line Pay合作,擁有更多的生活應用場景,並把支付相關產品用API的方式串接,以減少銀行本身系統開發以及營運的成本。
    The Taiwan Financial Supervisory Commission issued three licenses of Internet-only bank on July 30, 2019, including Next Bank, LINE Bank and Rakuten Commercial Bank. This measure hopes arouse the "catfish effect" to drive the digital transformation of traditional banks. This research focuses on Fubon`s banking business, aiming to understand the process of its digital transformation through an in-depth interview. Financial industry is highly regulated in Taiwan. In the past few decades, banks did not have to worry too much about external competition. Recently, they faced the rise of Fintech and the presence of pure online banking. Problems they have to tackle include the outdated internal systems and the challenge of intensified external competition.

    This study adopts the case study method. Firstly, the interview structure is designed according to the research questions, and then an appropriate bank is screened out. After selecting a proper bank, the representative of the payment department is contacted for conducting an in-depth interview. Prior to the interview, relevant information and news on the Internet were collected and analyzed to understand the target organization’s current business. Through combining the internet information and actual interview result, this research can present a better picture about how the bank underwent their digital transformation.

    This research has three important findings. First, it is imperative to have a clear strategic direction and then search someone that can make up the company’s weakness. Second, before deciding to adopt “own brand” or “outsource,” check own resources and strength to have a proper positioning, thus avoid potential sunk cost. Third, collaborate with mobile payment provider for a win-win situation to reduce internet development cost and to expand its applications in various banking activities.
