    Abstract: 約莫六年前,因政大教師研習中心之託,曾開國中輔導班的「休閒教育」課程,當時曾經邀請博物館學專家到班上演講。講者一開始就問在職教師:「你認為博物館為教育機構的請舉手?」當時舉手的非常少。當時,我逐漸意會到國內的「教育」想像是多麼的侷限。筆者剛到教育學系任教時,因課程內容都會先談到社會文化脈絡,就曾有學生質疑我是在講社會學,不是談「教育」;也有學生問我是否拿社會學博士,而非「教育學」博士。這樣的質疑也呈現出教育系學生對教育學可能的想像,我也開始思考如何在台灣教育拓邊的實踐。
