|Because the Edo Shogunate is in order to maintain its stability, Shogunate starts to advocate Confucianism. "Lienu Zhuan" was translated by the famous Japanese classical scholar Kitamura Kigin, published as "Kanaretsujoden" (1655). Kigin translated "Lienu Zhuan" into the simple Japanese, which was widely read by the Japanese public. Also because of its strong influence, there have been many related works that have been influenced by the "Kanaretsujoden". In this thesis, we first review the advance research of instructional texts for women and Xikaku literature, confirm their relationship with the "Lienu Zhuan", and sort out a list of the acceptance status of "Lienu Zhuan" in early Edo literatures. We will check how "Lienu Zhuan" affects Edo`s early literatures, and analyzes the cultural meaning behind it. Then, taking the "Onnagokyo" as example, by reviewing the chapter three of "Onnagokyo", to analyze what kind of Japanese translations are used by contemporary writers when writing "Lienu Zhuan" stories. We hope to understand the acceptance of "Lienu Zhuan" in early Edo.
