    Abstract:
The trend in catering industries has changed significantly in recent years. Due to the improvement of technology and e-commence companies entering this market, delivery service platforms has increased significantly and totally changed the catering industry. Consumer’s reliance on social media and online reviews, has forced traditional restaurants to invest in social media platforms in order to increase in exposure and good reputation on social websites and reviews.

With the rise of health concepts and food safety awareness, more and more consumers have begun to value the quality of their diets, hoping that they can have the opportunity to take care of their physical health conditions after high intense and pressure at work. This is a conflict to traditional Taiwanese food ingredients and cooking method, especially traditional Taiwanese bento restaurants. If no change is implemented, they will gradually lose its market share and disappear in the market.

Given the current competitive market in the catering industry and the ever changing environment, me as the 2nd generation successor taking over our bento box restaurant, we will first review the current business model to understand its current issues and difficulties. We will then come up with various strategies to encounter the current difficulties and hoping to increase our sales. If all strategies is successfully executed and the results are as anticipated, we can see an increase in the revenue and profit in the years to come.
