    Abstract: 據報導2006年超過50萬的外國人居住在南韓,國際移民勞工佔大多數。雖然南韓對進口外勞的依賴不會減少,但是南韓一向以單一民族的社會(ethnically homogenous society)自傲,堅持不需移民政策。然而本文認爲南韓社會正快速形成多文化社會,且此一過程將是不可避免與無法逆轉的。爲支持此一論點,本文將檢視各種導致南韓形成多種族的社會因素,其中包括繼續湧入外勞、人口快速老化、低生育率(low fertility rate)與缺少新娘。本文也同時評估各種移民理論與趨勢對南韓案例的適用性。南韓案例證明全球化促進國際移民,因爲此一理論可適用到所有社會,幾乎所有社會移民的人數都在持續增加。
