    Abstract: 本文旨在描述九○年代傳播科技可能在家庭、工作場所的應用狀況，並分析其可能遭遇的難題。首先，未來家庭傳播科技的特色為：(1)連絡方式更加簡化；(2)可以錄音方式通話；(3)更多人可同時通話；(4)取得消息又快又多；(5)娛樂價值更為提高；(6)家庭生活全面自動化。其次，電子傳播媒介在工作場所的應用具有以下特色：(1)形成龐大溝通網路；(2)提高辦公行政效率；(3)建立辦公資料檔案；(4)以電子媒介進行會議；(5)手提包變成辦公室；(6)成立資訊管理部門；(7)資訊服務業興起。最後，傳播科技將面臨以下的阻力：(1)國際之間的阻難；(2)規範機構的約束；(3)能源短缺的限制。
