    摘要: 網路科技改變了全球社會運作模式，不僅是在經濟、政冶或文化層面，對教育的衝擊更是全方位，包含課程、教學、行政與研究等面向。而對於大學學術研究與交流的增進，網路更扮演著資訊蒐尋的最重要工具，這也使得許多大學希望能藉由網路的傳播展現其學術表現與研究成果，進而增加其能見度與發揮影響力。因此，網路科技在二十一世紀大學排名研究的影響也逐漸地發酵之中，由西班牙網路計量研究中心（Centre for Scientific Information and Documentation, CINDOC-CSIC）之網路實驗室（Laboratorio de Internet）所發表的「世界大學網路排名」（Webometrics Rankings of World Universities），即欲突破傳統大學排名指標的限制，嘗試將目前大學的網路學術表現做一全球性的評比。
