    Abstract: 本文旨在透過「對象選擇媒介」之理論,探究大眾傳播之對象是基於哪些原則來選擇媒介內容,因為「大眾對象」是大眾傳播研究中的最重要元素,卻又極其複雜而不可測。本文歸納出傳播對象選擇媒介的四個原理:(1)熱心與孤僻原理:當人們偏好某一種媒介,也會對其他媒介有水準以上的喜好;(2)教育原理:教育水準越高的人,越會使用傳播媒介;(3)經濟原理:當人們的收入增加,媒介使用也會隨之增加,此原理對於印刷媒介特別明顯;(4)年齡原理:當人們的年紀越大,越會基於嚴肅的目的來使用傳播媒介,而非基於娛樂的追求。
