    Abstract: 無線網狀網路(Wireless Mesh Networks)簡稱為WMNs,除了提供寬頻上網的骨幹外並可整合現有的無線網路(如Wi-Fi、MANET、Sensor networks),因此,它可延伸網路的涵蓋範圍,提供一個「Anytime , Anywhere」的漫遊環境。本論文探討WMN chain topology 下MAC layer與end-to-end fairness問題並修改現存MAC layer DCF協定以提出改善的機制,分別為TDS (Token-based Distributed Scheduling)及Per flow fair queuing。傳統802.11 MAC協定由於queuing effect造成節點發生starvation的現象,而TDS採用Per flow fair queuing機制之後,呈現較佳的fairness結果。當考量往單一方向資料傳送的情況,collision domain為三個節點的TDS-3機制符合較佳spatial reuse的精神,因此,於end-to-end total throughput的結果較collision domain為四個節點的TDS-4佳。
