    摘要: The best-effort service model in the Internet does not provide any form of service differentiation and performance assurance to flows. To support service differentiation and performance assurance in the Internet, the Internet community has developed differentiated service (Diffserv) architectures. Service mapping between Diffserv over ATM network is an important issue because ATM has been widely deployed in Internet backbones, such as TANET. In this paper, first we introduce QoS and Diffserv architecture. Then ATM service category is described. Finally, according to the ATM Forum recommendations, we briefly summarize how to provide Diffserv on ATM network.
