Abstract:	本研究以組織生態理論為基礎，探討「組織死亡」與「產業變遷」兩項議題。樣本共含857家工廠，時間範圍涵蓋1964年至2000年，本研究以logistic迴歸模型檢視影響組織死亡的因素，此外，並以專家訪談法深入探討產業之變遷。主要之研究結果為(1)制度環境會影響組織之存續，其中以經濟成長率及同業死亡數目對組織死亡的解釋力特別顯著。(2)組織死亡率與集群密度之間呈U型關係，死亡率會先隨著集群密度的增加而遞減，當集群密度達到某一低點後，死亡率則呈現遞增的情況。(3)組織改變並未增加組織死亡的可能性。(4)組織之死亡率會隨著年齡而遞減。最後，本研究亦對管理意涵與未來之研究建議提出討論。
