    摘要: 金融保險業也有專利嗎？是的，保險也有專利，只是目前保險業為其創新商品或服務點子提出專利申請的趨勢並不普遍。本文針對美國專利分類號705（UPC 705）之第4次分類為主討論以下一些議題：以專利申請情況探討目前處於萌芽期保險商業方法的未來技術軌跡（Technological Trajectories）為何？以經營實務面探討目前保險商業方法的專利領域（Patent Field）為何？智慧財產權實施後對保險經營上的衝擊與因應之道？最後在經營策略上針對商業方法與智慧財產權作出策略性建議。
    Does insurance industry have a patent? Yes, insurance does have a patent. But insurance companies didn’t often apply patents to protect their innovation. This article has focused its discussion on subclass 4 of UPC 705, and explores the technological trajectories and patent fields of insurance business methods. Moreover, it also discusses the possible impacts and strategies that companies should take after implementation of IPR (Intellectual Property Rights). Finally, several suggestions are made to companies in responses to this industrial restructure due to the implementation of IPR.
