    Abstract: 本論文旨在藉由金里卡與泰勒之哲學角度對沈岱爾自我觀進行探討,以使當代自由主義與社群主義之論爭獲得進一步的理解與發展。本文主要針對沈岱爾自我觀中建構性不足的問題,以及由此所導致的共和主義政治哲學困境進行討論。
    文章架構主要分為四個部分:第一部分,藉沈岱爾對自由主義的批判觀點,疏理沈岱爾之自我觀論述。第二部分,透過自由民族主義者金里卡對沈岱爾的批判,探究沈岱爾自我觀的內部問題。第三部分,轉向泰勒之思想資源,從中探尋沈岱爾自我觀可能的補充觀點,以回應自由主義者之質疑。最後,綜合上述探討之結果,重新審視沈岱爾之自我觀,探尋其未來適當的發展進路。
    沈岱爾哲學的體系乃以其構成式自我觀為基礎,然而其自我觀論述之建構性不足,也造成其共和主義式的政治哲學主張所潛藏的問題。金里卡對沈岱爾的批判觀點,直接指出構成式自我觀的困境,導致沈岱爾最終必須向自由主義妥協,否則將對主體的自由形成威脅。然而,透過泰勒之自我觀的考察,本文將指出泰勒哲學中的詮釋學背景與本真性理想,能夠提供一種有別於自由主義的視域來解讀沈岱爾之自我觀。藉由上述的理解視域,將為沈岱爾哲學帶來一種不同於其當前發展的理想進路,化解自由主義對構成式自我觀的質疑,並使其能夠為當代自由主義與社群主義論爭提供更多深刻的思想與洞見。
