Abstract: | Travel industry has been growing globally as well as in Taiwan. This business plan is aimed to take on the opportunity and grow and serve global traveler needs with new technology, starting from the Taiwan market. Our travel platform - Smart Travel Inc. is an innovative platform that provides full travel agency service to the customers. From trip planning, booking to touring, the platform provide tailor made destination planning and controllable travel quality. Through technology, our Smart Planning System provide automated smart planning recommendations, our virtual tour guiding with augmented reality on Google glass, and our remote live support produces improved travel experience. The key difference for our service is that we standardize the travel quality by not having tour guides and tour captains, and it results in consistent travel experience. Our business model is different from other travel agencies. Our platform charges customers for service charges, which is separated from the touring product itself. The service charge is a fixed rate on top of the total booking amount. This business model has many advantages: we put our company on the same side with our customers and help the customers find the most suitable suppliers at the destination. Besides, unlike traditional travel agencies, which will always have supplier preferences due to cost and pricing issue, our goal is to create a touring experience that fits each different individual’s travel needs. As a result, our company develops different kind of relationship with suppliers. We will recommend suppliers based on customer reviews and feedback, and develop long term relationship on that basis. Our marketing effort will be focusing on online channels, with emphasis on social media. Lastly, we expect our company to break even in third year of operation and recover all the investments in the fourth year. The Resulting ROI is 73.6%. |
