    摘要: 本文利用連續寡占模型分析垂直整合對福利的影響，並分別討論垂直整合廠商退出與進入要素市場的情形。過去文獻發現當上游較下游集中且最終財產品替代性小時，如果垂直整合廠商退出要素市場，則垂直整合會降低社會福利。本文發現，當垂直整合廠商可以在要素市場自由買賣時，不論最終財產品替代性高低，垂直整合皆可提升社會福利。這是因為相較於垂直整合廠商退出要素市場，當上游集中度較高或下游產品替代性較小時，進入要素市場的垂直整合廠商將策略性賣出中間財，從而降低中間財價格、增加下游總產量，並提升社會福利。
