    Abstract: В статье сравниваются естественный и аналитический подход к обучению иностранному языку. Последний анализируется подробно на примере двух моделей: вычислительной и экологической. Выделяется задание в качестве основной содержательной единицы процесса обучения, в ходе которого дискурс становится обучающим средством, ведущим к появлению нового текста как языкового и когнитивного действия. Отмечается изменение роли преподавателя, которая при новом подходе сводится лишь к организации выполнения задания. Последнее становится возможным в результате применения некоторых приёмов, способствующих созданию когнитивного напряжения. В работе приводится пример одного из таких приёмов.
    This paper introduces a new Task-based method in Second Language Acquisition as an alternative to the common practice of Learning Russian as a foreign language. Both models of this method - computational and ecological - are observed in comparison with the Natural Approach. The paper explores the development of discourse as linguistically mediated interaction aimed at achieving collective purposes and focuses on its ultimate outcome – new text as linguistic and cognitive event. Collective efforts in language acquisition are emphasized as people working jointly are able to co-construct context in which expertise emerges as a feature of the group. Shadowing is introduced as a mean of creating cognitive tension needed while working with the texts and to complete the task.
