    Abstract: 國際衝突與危機研究假定戰爭與和平之間存在著緩衝區,也就是衝突與危機的階段,可以藉由策略性的管理而防止衝突與危機變成戰爭。此研究領域學者遂嘗試在此階段中探索出理論、原理或規則,以防止衝突與危機變成戰爭。歷經數十年的研究,國際衝突與危機研究逐漸發展出一門有其知識體系的學科,也產生某些研究趨勢,這些研究趨勢當對國內的相關研究有所啟示。
    The field of International Conflict and Crises Studies (ICCS) is based on the assumption that there is a buffer zone between war and peace, the stage of conflict and crisis, with strategic management to prevent conflict and crisis stage from entering into a stage of war. Therefore, researchers in this field try to find theories, principles, and laws to achieve their goal. After several decades, ICCS has developed a system of knowledge and some major trends, which have implication for in academic community in Taiwan researching on International Relations.
