Abstract:	本文共分成七章，除前言與結語外，其各章內容依次如下：第一章：「現代審計領域」，闡述現代審計之基本概念，第二章：「現代審計演進歷程」，主要在敘述審計之歷史，成長以及未來瞻望；第三章：「審計技術革新及發展趨勢」，說明審計工作採用之技術及其革新；第四章：「會計師專業制度化及專業精神」，強調會計師需走上專業化制度，第五章：「會計師專業地位與責任之探討」，特別要求會計師之權威地位與其應負責任應力求平衡。第六章：「會計師之專業職能—在經濟社會體系中所扮演的角色」；第七章：「會計師之職業道德修養」強調會計師遵守職業道德之重要性；第八章：「會計師專業智能之培養」，闡明會計師欲勝任其工作，所需具備之學術涵養。全文約六萬—七萬字。第九章：「我國會計師現況介紹」。
