    Title: 我國國民小學學生家長參與子女學習活動之研究

    Abstract: 〔論文提要內容〕
    本研究目的有四:
    (一)探討國小教師將家長參與兒童學習活動視為一種教學策略的看法如何,並了解這項教學策略的普遍使用情形。
    (二)探討家長對公立國民小學及教師的態度,及其在基本責任、教師對家長的溝通、學校活動、家中學習活動四項家長參與形態上的實際經驗。
    (三)探討教師使用家長參與技巧對國小學生國語、數學等學業成績的影響。
    (四)根據研究結果提出建議,作為學校教師及學生家長建立良好合作關係之參考。
    本研究以194位一至六年般的國小級任教師、758位國小學生及其家長為研究對象。以郵寄問卷方式,取得教師及學生家長在「家長參與兒童學業」教師用問卷及家長用問卷上的質料,及學生的學業成績。所用的統計方法有:簡單百分比,x2考驗、變異數分析及洛基對數線性模式。
    本研究的重要發現如下:
    (一)大多數(約60%)教師對家長參與兒童學業能成功實施感到質疑;但是在作法上教師如能主動激發家長參與,其效果仍是可期的。
    (二)多數家長對公立國民小學及教師的態度相當積極,並希望教師能多給予指點, 使更多家長能參與兒童的學習活動。
    (三)在「基本責任」的參與方面,以居住在都市或高教育程度之家長,最能善盡家長的基本責任;而居住在鄉鎮或低教育程度之家長,在基本責任的參與上則仍有待加強。
    (四)在「教師對家長單向溝通」的參與方面,教師普遍使用傳統的溝通方式,而較少採用非傳統的溝通方式。教師認為有意義且適合與家長談論的主題,主要是學生課業及行為表現問題;至於教學方面的問題,則於必要時再與家長討論為宜。
    (五)在「學校活動」的參與方面,僅有少數家長能主動到校協助學校活動。其中以參與意願高或住家距離學校較近之家長,參與最為踴躍。其他家長則以有工作在身,無暇參與學校活動或協助教室活動者居多。
    (六)在「家中學習活動」的參與方面
    1.女性教師使用家長參與技巧的頻率顯著高於男性教師。
    2.不同年級教師使用的家長參與技巧之類型有顯著差異。
    3.教師要求家長使用家長參與技巧時,並不因家長教育程度之不同而有顯著差異。
    4.教師使用家長參與技巧時,多係針對部份學生及家長,尤其是有學習困難或不用功的學生,以及主動表示有興趣幫助子女的家長。
    (七)教師支持且經常使用家長參與技巧,其學生的國語成績及數學成績顯著高於教師未支持組之學生。
    本研究最後提出數項建議,以作為國小教師及學生家長參考之用。
    (一)在目前國小教學採包班制之下,如能實施家長參與,將有助於減輕教師的教學負擔。
    (二)身為學生家長的父母宜主動與教師聯繫,讓教師了解家長的參與意願,不僅有助改善溝通的情形,也可激發教師更積極實施家長參與,進而增進雙方的合作關係。
    (三)教師不妨考慮採用家長參與家中學習活動的方式,使不能到校參與活動的家長,亦可利用晚上在家的時間協助子女學習。
    (四)師範教育過程宜提供並加強教師在「家長參與」方面的訓練;另一方面,則有賴領導學校的國小校長積極鼓勵教師實施家長參與。
