    Abstract: 本研究主要的目的在探究我國綜合高中發展願景,首先了解綜合高中在哲學及社會學的學理依據為何及英、美、德、日等先進國家之實施經驗對我國之啟示,並分析我國辦理綜合高中的背景、源起及現況。繼而提出我國綜合高中發展願景之緣由、必要性,其理念與實務及其願景,最後並根據研究結果,提出相關建議供主管教育行政機關及辦理綜合高中學校參考。
    The main purpose of this study was to explore the vision of comprehensive high schools in Taiwan. First of all, the philosophical and societal literature on comprehensive high schools was reviewed; and then, the British, American, Germany, and Japanese experiences with comprehensive high schools were discussed. The researcher also analyzed the background, implementation, necessity and future vision of comprehensive high schools in Taiwan. In the end, the researcher offered some suggestions as a reference for the implementation of a comprehensive high school system in Taiwan.
