    摘要: 西周承襲商代「四土」的疆域概念,但周人勢力實際擴及「四土」,並非周武王擊敗商紂王的牧野之戰就可達成。依經典和青銅器銘文的記載,武王時已經注意到對「四土」 的經營,而周人勢力擴及「四土」並持續經營,則有賴於其後的諸王。本文即針對西周時期周人對「四土」的經營為主要範圍,透過文獻和銅器銘文的研究,廣泛地對相關的問題進行討論。
    The territorial conception of the four directions(east, west, north, and south 四土)in Shang Dynasty was inherited by Westem Chou Dynasty. But, Western Chou can not accomplish the objective that expand sphere of influence into the four directions(四土)only pass through Wu King(武王)defeated Jow King(紂王)at Mu-yeh(牧野). According to the classic records and the bronze inscriptions in Westem Chou, Wu King(武王)have noticed to devote painstaking efforts to undertaking for taking over the territory of Shang, bring the objective to completion was depended on the kings after Wu King(武王). This paper focus on the range of expanding sphere of influence into the four directions on Westem Chou, and through the studies of classic records and the bronze inscriptions to discuss about the connection with the questions in this range.
