    Title: 孕育與加速新事業之成長- 以科技集團為例

    Abstract: 從大環境經濟的歷史軌跡來看,台灣企業隨著政府經濟發展政策的前進,面臨轉型或跨足新事業,其中,亦有不少集團企業在多角化營運的策略發展上選擇內部創業。然而,在企業內部創業發展的過程中,面對組織文化、資源協調分配、外部環境風險等問題,內部創業並非百分之百絕對成功。

    本研究以台灣某科技集團為例,從個案集團的處境以及面臨的問題進行以下兩大主題的研究:(1)集團如何孕育新事業?(2)當新事業有了基礎後,集團該如何加速其成長?在研究過程中,本研究先以文獻探討了解內部創業為多角化的模式之一,並進而瞭解內部創業的動機、進入模式、面臨的阻礙以及內部創業如何育成及事業分割的意義,再從美國GE集團與中國砂輪內部創業的東西方兩個個案作研究,最後描述與分析個案集團在內部新創事業所面臨的處境,並給予建議。

    研究結果發現,在探討集團內部創業如何育成部分,可從策略、組織架構、管理系統、政策與流程、文化與人員等面向探討,並將可能的障礙一一克服,才能使新創事業在初期有良好基礎。而在探討集團內部創業有了基礎後,如何加速其育成,本研究發現須先屏除個案在加速成長途徑上遇到的障礙,接著探討新創事業成熟後是否進行切割,但由於個案集團的新創事業財務尚未穩健,而個案集團另一子公司也同樣在發展照明事業,因此本研究認為在財務、基礎建設需求、集團長期投資效益考量,將新事業合併在子公司照明事業體下, 會是較合適的折衷方案。最後,對於新事業與子公司照明事業單位合併後,集團應注意包括相關政策、內外部關係人以及組織文化衝突等問題,有良好的配套措施擬定後,才能加速個案集團新事業的育成。
    From the historical viewpoint, Taiwanese corporations have been confronted business diversification due to economic development policies from the government in different eras. Some companies choose to do intrapreneurship to pursue a sustainable growth. However, intrapreneurship is not always successful as it usually comes with corporate culture issues, resource re-allocation and potential internal and external risks from the new business.

    In order to provide suggestions for intrapreneurship, this thesis takes a Taiwanese high-tech business group as a case study, to examine its way of nurturing its new business- design lighting fixtures, and find solutions for the business group to accelerate the growth of this new business. The thesis focuses on two issues: 1. How do business groups nurture new business, and 2. How do business groups accelerate the growth of new business after it grows to a certain stage. The thesis first does a research of intrapreneurship, and takes GE Group and Kinik Company as examples. Then it describes and analysis the situation of new business of B Group- a Taiwanese high-tech business group, and finally give suggestions to accelerate the growth of the new business.

    In conclusion, to nurture a new business within a business group, we examine the business group in strategy, organizational structure, managing system, company policy, culture and employees. As for accelerating the growth of new business, the thesis suggests to transfer the new business team to an existed lighting business unit of its subsidiary, and provide suggestions for the post-consolidation issues.
