Abstract:	當代從事儒家哲學重建的主要是孟學一路。相較之下,荀學一路的發展顯得極為低迷、沉寂。采取"當代新荀學"的進路,簡單地說,雖然屢遭誤解,荀子哲學其實蘊涵著一個符合民族心理傾向的"普遍形式"荀學思維也在歷代隱微曲折地持續發展,最終形成了以戴震為代表的明清自然氣本論;以這樣的荀學傳統為基礎,今天儒家哲學荀學一系的基本理路可以是:(1)以氣為本,理在氣中。(2)稟氣、性、心、身一貫,理在欲中。(3)元氣、自然、人生、社會、歷史一貫,理在事中。相較于孟學一路,這樣的哲學典范對于現代華人生命的提升、知識的建構、民主的實踐、經濟的發展,都有更貼切更緊密的符應
