| Abstract: | 由於網際網路及全球資訊網資源應用的蓬勃發展,將文件數位化並整理網路資源,建立各種特定領域的數位圖書館系統,以提供全球使用者查詢及瀏覽的服務,形成一個必然的趨勢。為因應網路文件及相關資訊的快速存取與動態展現,並滿足關鍵字、全文及內容物件查詢等檢索需求,建立多媒體文件資料庫及超媒體介面為其關鍵。本研究之目的即在探討全球資訊網上數位圖書館的多媒體資料庫設計課題,並提出一套文件類別、內容、格式、物件至資料庫的規格設定與結構模式方法,從而建置實體系統作業環境並發展原型,以為可行性驗證。
Due to the rapid growing of Internet resources and World-Wide-Web applications, digitizing documents as well as organizing network resources for building specific digital library systems to provide search and navigation services for global users becomes an inevitable trend. For facilitating the fast access and dynamic presentation of hyperdocuments, and for satisfying the requirements of keyword search, full-text search, as well as content-based query functions, the development of a multimedia database and hypermedia user interface for the digital library play key roles for success. The goal of this research is to discuss technical issues for designing a multimedia database for digital libraries on the World-Wide-Web, and to propose a systematic approach for specifying types, contents, layouts, objects of documents, for modeling integrated multimedia object database, and for establishing physical system environment. A prototyped digital library will be developed to validate the feasibilities of the proposed design process. |
