    Abstract: 本研究旨在探討及評估中國大陸自1949年以來,比較教育學門之發展與趨勢,並根據歷史演進分成六個階段,透過比較分析的方式,針對學門研究之基本思想、研究取向、研究機構與學會、研究人員背景、研究生培育工作及研究成果等方面加以探討,輔以四種期刊之內容分析,以了解與評估中國大陸比較教育學研究之發展狀況與未來趨勢。本研究採用訪談、問卷調查、內容分析及文獻分析等方式,探討並比較各時期之研究重點及其與大陸教育改革所產生之作用。最後並針對海峽兩岸比較教育學門研究之發展趨勢加以比較,期能發揮相互對照與學習之功效。
    This study examined and critiqued the development of comparative education in Mainland China since 1949. Six historical stages of this subject were analyzed and compared based on the political philosophy, research orientation, professional organization, research personnel, graduate education and publications of the discipline. Data were collected through survey questionnaires and in-depth interviews with Chinese authorities in the field. A series of content analyses were administered on four relevant academic journals in order to compare the features in different phases. The study was an attempt to identify the status of comparative education in the process of Chinese educational reform. Little empirical studies have been done in this area. The study, thus, will not only shed some light on the literature for the development of Chinese comparative education, but also serve as an example for empirical research of this kind on Mainland China.
