Abstract:	本調查研究的對象為台灣地區人民(不含外島及金馬),以多段分層系統抽樣法,參考行政院主計處及中央研究院社會科學研究所的資料,將台灣地區人口區分為八層:台北市、高雄市、省轄市、縣政府所在地、縣轄市、北部鄉鎮、中部鄉鎮、南部東部鄉鎮,依各層人口數百分比計算應抽取樣本數後,進行抽樣及面訪,共計完成有效問卷1226份。研究內容除延續1985年有關民眾法律認知與法律態度的探討外(國科會專題研究74-0301-H004-4),本次研究進一步探索法律認知與政治民主化之相關性,問卷中加入有關政治認知、政治參與及民主價值觀等問題。研究報告共分為五章:第一章說明研究架構及理論基礎,第二章敘述對民眾法律生活之調查結果,比較近十年來的變化,第三章探討城鄉居民在法律生活上的差異情形,第四章分析法治認知與司法改革之問題,最後於第五章探討我國人民在法律與政治上「認知及態度」的關聯性。<
