    摘要: 在排灣族社會中，傳統陶壺具有著重要的社會功能與文化意涵，它不僅是該族群的文化表徵，也是一項重要的文化資產。本論文以符號學的學理為基礎，藉著民族誌與田野調查的方法來進行質性研究，分析傳統陶壺與排灣族神話傳說、圖紋型制的相互關係;並進一步釐清其與排灣族文化之間的脈絡關係。
    The pot represents an important social function and cultural significance in the Paiwan society which indicates not only a tribal cultural symbol but also an important cultural asset. This paper attempts to employ the subject to conduct the qualitative research by the ethnography and field survey based on the symbolism at the aesthetic perspectives to analyze the interrelation between the pot and the Paiwan legends and mythology, patterns, and further defines clearly the context between the pot and the Paiwan culture.
