    摘要: Seit eine Reihe von Disziplinen einen eigenen methodischen und interpretativen Zugang zur Oral History entwickelt haben, ist der Dialog zwischen der Geschichtswissenschaft und der Soziologie über den möglichen Nutzen lebensgeschichtlicher Interviews für Längsschnittanalysen in einem sich rasant entfaltenden diskursiven Feld unter den Druck einer Vielfalt von Einflüssen geraten. Während Psychologie und Hirnforschung die wissenschaftliche Substanz narrativer Interviews als solcher in Zweifel ziehen, weisen Medien und Museen Interviewmaterialien streng definierte Rollen zu, um ihre Ansprüche an Repräsentationen zu erfüllen. Gleichzeitig finden innerhalb der Sozial- und Kulturwissenschaften Paradigmenwechsel statt und zeigen sich terminologische Trends, die den Spielraum der Oral History weiter verkleinern, insofern es das Eröffnen einer Perspektive auf den individuellen Umgang mit vergangenen Ereignissen innerhalb einer Biographie betrifft. Unter Heranziehung von Erfahrungen aus einem Interviewprojekt mit Zwangsarbeitern des Zweiten Weltkriegs, untersucht der Aufsatz, welchen Beitrag Oral History noch zu einer qualitativen Dimension von Längsschnittanalysen leisten kann.` (Autorenreferat)
    Since a number of disciplines have developed methodological and interpretive approaches towards Oral History, the dialogue between History and Sociology about the possible use of life story interviews for longitudinal analysis has been under pressure from a variety of influences in a rapidly evolving discursive field. While psychology and brain research have thrown the scientific substance of narrative interviews as such into doubt, media and museums assign strictly defined roles to interview materials to serve their representative needs. At the same time, paradigm shifts and terminological trends within social and cultural sciences further narrow the room for maneuver for Oral History as far as opening up of a perspective on individual handling of past events within a biography is concerned. Drawing on experiences of an interview project with World War II forced laborers, the article explores what contribution Oral History can still make to a qualitative dimension of longitudinal analysis.` (author`s abstract)
