Due to the effects of a long history of political and socio-economic disadvantages and the gender role in traditional cultures, poor women in developing countries lack the ability to adapt and are especially vulnerable in facing the impact of global warming. Therefore, the global warming discourse should include a gender perspective and create better socio-economic conditions for women to participate in global climate consultations. A climate change strategy with social justice can be formed by increasing the percentage of female experts and representatives to participate in the decision-making and consultations on climate change, by ensuring that women have access to the knowledge of carbon-reduction technology, and by assisting women to adapt to the changing environment and to deal with natural disasters. In this manner, the international community can take actions to address climate change more effectively and efficiently.
