Ouyang Xiu is the master of Classical Movement in the Song Dynasty as well as an important representative of the history of Fu in the Tang and Song Dynasties. The Fu of Chirping Cicadas is not an object-chanting poem concerning aristocrats but rather dissuading officials, their plight in the changing world of the Northern Song Dynasty and contemplation upon a possible cultural escape.
